Annual Travel Protection
Travel More. Worry Less.

One policy. Multiple trips. Year-round peace of mind.

Do you take several trips throughout the year? A Chubb annual travel protection plan may offer a convenient and cost-effective alternative to purchasing a separate policy for every vacation.

Whether you are planning cruises, international adventures, weekend getaways, or visits with family, an annual policy can help protect you from many of the unexpected situations that may disrupt your travels.

Why consider an annual travel protection plan?

When you travel several times a year, purchasing insurance for each individual vacation can become repetitive and expensive. An annual plan provides coverage for multiple eligible trips during a 12-month policy term.

An annual policy may be a good fit for travelers who:

  • Take two or more trips each year
  • Cruise regularly
  • Travel internationally
  • Enjoy frequent weekend getaways
  • Visit family or friends throughout the year
  • Want travel protection in place before booking their next adventure

Rather than starting over with a new policy for every trip, you can travel throughout the year knowing you already have protection in place.

Protection for the unexpected

Depending on the plan selected, Chubb annual travel protection may provide benefits for:

Trip cancellation and interruption

You may be reimbursed for eligible prepaid, nonrefundable travel expenses when a trip must be canceled or interrupted because of a covered unforeseen event.

Covered reasons may include certain illnesses or injuries, inclement weather, named hurricanes, jury duty, military obligations and other events listed within the policy.

Travel delays and missed connections

A delayed flight can lead to unexpected hotel stays, meals and transportation expenses. Certain Chubb plans may reimburse reasonable additional expenses when travel is delayed for the required amount of time due to a covered event.

Coverage for missed connections may also be available with select plans.

Emergency medical expenses

Your regular health insurance may provide limited or no coverage outside the United States. Chubb annual plans may include benefits for eligible medical treatment when you experience an unexpected illness or injury while traveling.

Emergency evacuation

A serious illness or injury may require transportation to an appropriate medical facility. Depending on the plan, emergency evacuation and repatriation benefits range from $150,000 to $500,000 per insured traveler for the annual policy term.

Delayed, lost or damaged baggage

Coverage may help reimburse you for eligible personal belongings that are lost, stolen or damaged during a trip.

If your baggage is delayed by a common carrier for more than the required period, the policy may also reimburse you for necessary personal items purchased while you wait.

24/7 travel assistance

Chubb’s travel assistance services provide access to support before and during your trip. Services may include:

  • Medical provider referrals
  • Emergency travel arrangements
  • Help locating lost travel documents
  • Foreign-language assistance
  • Embassy and consulate referrals
  • Destination and travel advisories
  • Security assistance
  • Restaurant, hotel and transportation referrals

Benefits and limits vary by the plan selected.

Choose the coverage that fits your travel style

Chubb offers several annual plan levels, allowing travelers to select coverage based on their needs, travel habits and budget.

What does “annual coverage” mean?

An annual policy covers multiple eligible trips taken during the policy’s 12-month term. However, the benefit amounts do not necessarily reset with every trip.

For example, if your plan includes $4,000 in trip cancellation coverage, that is generally the total available amount for all covered claims during the annual term, not $4,000 for each vacation.

I can help you review your typical travel spending and determine whether an annual plan offers enough coverage for the trips you are planning.

What about pre-existing medical conditions?

Chubb’s annual plans include a pre-existing medical condition exclusion waiver after the policy has been in effect for at least 90 days, subject to the policy’s terms and conditions.

Travelers who renew their annual policy immediately at the end of the original policy term may continue that coverage without beginning another 90-day waiting period.

Because this provision can be important, especially for travelers with ongoing medical concerns, I recommend requesting a quote before your next trip rather than waiting until shortly before departure.

Is an annual policy right for you?

An annual policy may offer excellent convenience and value, but it is not the right fit for every traveler.

The best option depends on:

  • How often you travel
  • The cost of your trips
  • Your destination
  • Your age
  • Your medical coverage needs
  • Whether your trips include cruises or international travel
  • The amount of nonrefundable money you typically pay in advance

I will help you compare your options and understand the available benefits before you make a decision.
